Today in Kendari, on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi, young people participated in a documentary workshop with filmmaker Leah Mahan. The U.S. Consulate partnered with Yascita, a local NGO, to host the American Film Showcase program featuring screenings of Come Hell or High Water accompanied by workshops and discussions. Tomorrow the participants will share their short videos, which are character portraits of local people facing particular challenges.
